college marching Bands take over McNeese cowboy stadium in 2016
Four visiting bands will add to the incredible Cowboy Stadium atmosphere in the 2016 football season!
On September 3rd, the Tarleton State Marching Band, under the direction of Dr. Gary Westbrook, will travel to Lake Charles. "The Sound and The Fury" will join The Pride of McNeese to electrify halftime. The Tarleton State band will perform first, followed by the Cowboy Marching Band. To conclude halftime, the two bands will combine for a special performance. The performance will cap off a special day. The bands will practice together in the afternoon at the McNeese band practice field, then share a lunch before heading off to the stadium.
September 17th will be the McNeese All-Star High School Marching Band Day, with the Lumberjack Marching Band from Stephen F. Austin also performing at halftime.
On October 1st, the Nicholls State University "Pride of Nicholls" Marching Band comes to Lake Charles. This will be the first time in more than 10 years that the Nicholls State band has been able to visit Cowboy Stadium. Both the Nicholls and McNeese bands will entertain the crowd at halftime.
Wrapping up the football season on November 19, our close neighbors and friends of the Lamar University "Showcase of Southeast Texas" Marching Band will help fill Cowboy Stadium. Both bands will perform at halftime and provide a super evening of college football atmosphere.
We hope YOU can join all of the bands at Cowboy Stadium this fall!
